Web-Lists of Upcoming GIS Conferences

There is a growing demand from GIS Scientists to keep up with new accomplishments in the GIS sector and its related, operational scientific fields. This is a great opportunity also for new GIS researchers to advance their knowledge and capabilities through new, interesting and innovative GIS topics and meet other scientists, academics and stakeholders within the GIS Science.
One of the best way is to follow conferences on GIS throughout the world by enrolling to their newsletters or, just visit lists of conference's websites, where concentrated information and links exist on upcoming GIS conferences (listed chronologically) .
Two of the most prominent web-lists on upcoming GIS conferences are the following:

"Discussions, Comments and Jobs..."

As time passes and new accomplishments are made from day-to-day to different scientific fields, it seems very important for every professional, academic, scientist, end-user, etc., the participation to scientific fora or/and social networking websites.  The convergence of disciplines in certain applications provide significant results and great amounts of information to every interested in this kind of inter-communication.
Scientific social networks

I would suggest two major scientific fora :

- ResearchGate
&
- LinkedIn

However, there are many more and within different disciplines:

Labroots  (LabRoots is a social networking website for scientists, engineers, and other technical professionals)

- Doctorshangout.com (Doctorshangueout is a personal & professional networking site for Doctors & medical students worldwide)

Biomedexperts  (BiomedExperts brings researchers together and allow them to connect, network, communicate and collaborate online)

Ozmosis  (OzmosisESP provides a cloud based social collaboration and clinical content management platform for hospitals and life science firms)

- Mendeley  (Mendeley is a free reference manager and academic social network that can help you organize your research, collaborate with others online, and discover the latest research)

Zotero  (Zotero is a free, easy-to-use tool to help you collect, organize, cite and share your research sources)

Vladeo   (Vladeo can help you: Manage your network of professional contacts, Identify useful contacts through your extended network, Share information and knowledge, Find new leads and partnership opportunities, Contact industry experts in your sector, Identify and recruit talent, Showcase your expertise and get headhunted, Find a new role through your network,Enhance your online visibility)

...and an alpabetical list of more social networks through Wikipedia (click here).

Now, you know how you can get "connected" within a community sharing similar interests.
It's up to your personnal choice to get connected or not.
